It got to the point where a 6disc cd changer wasn't enough

a 40gb iPod with an iPod adapter isn't enough

so i ran across mp3car.com and that's where it all began

My Specs:
I have a spare IBM R40 laptop that I used. 1.4GHz, 512MB RAM, 60gb HDD
My monitor is the Xenarc 700IDT. This is also the NEWEST one with "brighter screen and contrast resolution". I bought this from pandainnovations.com. Great people with an eye for customer satisfaction, check them out. Also have the Garmin GPS18 with iGuidance 4.0

My Plan:
After taking apart the dash once and I looked at the back of the head unit, I found out there is no AUX input. The only way to do this is to either replace the head unit and re-wire the Bose speakers, or to use the existing head unit and turn the tape deck into an AUX input. So i went the easier approach and got a cassette adapter to run to the laptop.

I found out that 'Last Lecture' Professor Randy Pausch Has Died. So I went to youtube to watch it one more time because it's such a motivational speech and really makes you think about life.  I go to YouTubes front page and I see this staring right back at me

On Saturday July 5th, Lauren and I went to Kentucky Kingdom's Hurricane Bay or whatever it's called now. Splash Mountain maybe? Anyway, I had an epiphany while I was there. Call me snobby if you want, but it was one of the only times I couldn't stand to be around people any longer.  I felt like I was thrown into a world of people that had never given their kids a lesson in manners, bathing, or public etiquette and conduct. Born in Ohio, I moved to KY at a relatively early age and always considered myself to be a true Kentucky boy. I still love Kentucky and everything about it, but I started recognizing the Kentucky stereotypes

There were two particular moments that made me just look back in awe. 

1. Lauren and I were waiting in line for a water slide when a kid, perhaps 10 years old, (we could tell he had ADHD or some sort of disability) tried to get by the couple behind us by saying "Excuse Me". This couple must have spotted him from afar because the lady asked, "Is your Mom up there?" and the kid just stood there silent. 

I am usually a huge stickler with my money. I hate spending it. If I could align myself with a time period I can see myself as a hunter and gatherer.  Most of my hard earned money goes towards bills, bars, and savings/investments.  I needed a few things, pehaps wanted, so I bit the bullet.

I get a call to my office from Brooke and Vernoica, "Kenny, you know your face is plastered on the front page of WHAS11.com don't you?"

Umm, What?

Finally! The Royal Caribbean Vacation! This was Lauren and I's first vacation together. I was surprised by how many people asked if I was going to propose. Do we really seem married already? hah. And if you are wondering, no I didn't propose, but we looked at plenty of rings in the thousands of jewelry stores. And if you are wondering some more, no i didn't buy one...even though some were 2 for 1, lol.

Day 1 - Miami, FL

Our trip started out 4am Monday 6/2/06. We took the red eye out of Louisville to Cinci, where we stopped and had a delicious breakfast at Quizno's Subs @ 9am. Our flight from Cinci boarded and we were off to Miami. We didn't get to do much in Miami except listen to the bus driver on the way to the cruise from the airport.
